Mr. Suraj Vaidya is an entrepreneur, business leader and a passionate advocate for economic growth and reform in Nepal. According to him, “Economy should speak louder than politics.” A graduate of MBA from George Mason University, Mr. Vaidya runs industries in Nepal based on agriculture, construction, education and trading sector as the President of Vaidya’s Organization of Industries and Trading Houses (VOITH), which was established in 1967. Mr. Vaidya is the President of SAARC-Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is also the Board Member of School of Management, Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and served as the Vice Chairman of Lumbini Development Trust. In addition, he is the Honorary Consul General of Philippines. Besides being an active member of the business community and leading change by setting examples of growth, Mr. Vaidya has been a promoter of economic growth and an avid advocate for dealing with Nepal’s most critical development constraints.

Pekka leads on developing Industry partnerships and academic and assessment standards. He works globally across public and private sectors with financial institutions, fin tech and reg tech companies, regulators, law enforcement and inter-governmental bodies sharing best practice and trends in managing financial crime and compliance risk. As such he has a unique perspective on the current and future landscape. He has a wealth of experience in industry, including roles as Money Laundering Reporting Officer for a multinational financial services firm and Head of Financial Crime of a division of a major UK bank. These roles involved managing AML, sanctions and fraud risk. A qualified lawyer he has also conducted prosecutions for tax evasion and provided legal advice in respect of organized crime groups, complex frauds and corporate tax evasion.

Hon. Craig Ondarchie

Craig Ondarchie Liberal member for the Northern Metropolitan Region

Craig Ondarchie was first elected as a Liberal member for the Northern Metropolitan Region at the 2010 Victorian State Election and served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier.

A Liberal Party member for 27 years, he was re-elected in 2014 and 2018, and served as Shadow Minister for Trade, Investment and Jobs 2014 -2018. He currently serves as Shadow Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship.
Prior to entering Parliament, Craig worked for over 30 years in the corporate arena, specialising in corporate governance, economic development, organisational reform and mergers and acquisitions. Craig also spent two years as Executive Director of the Royal Women’s Hospital and a further eight years as Managing Partner of a Corporate Advisory firm and held roles within the Australian energy sector. He is a Director of companies both here and in the United Kingdom.

Craig has a substantial academic background in business and commerce, having studied at Swinburne University, Deakin University and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia. Later studying abroad at York University Toronto and the London School of Economics.
